• Day 1 — Paro to Jele Dzong (3,400m)
  Drive approximately 30 minutes from Paro to the trailhead near the National Museum. The trek begins with a gradual ascent through blue pine forests toward Jele La Pass. As the trail gains elevation, expansive views of Paro Valley unfold behind you. Reach Jele Dzong, a fortress in ruins perched dramatically along a ridge. On clear days, snow-capped Himalayan peaks dominate the horizon.

• Day 2 — Jele Dzong to Jangchulakha (3,780m)
  Trek through dense alpine forests filled with rhododendron and dwarf bamboo. The path follows the ridge with occasional clearings offering panoramic views of Mount Jomolhari (7,314m). The colorful Himalayan Monal pheasant is often spotted in this region. The campsite is located near a traditional yak herder settlement in open alpine meadows.

On clear days, enjoy distant views of Mount Gangkhar Puensum (7,541m), the world's highest unclimbed peak. Descend past Thujidrag Goemba, a cliff-hugging meditation retreat, and continue through juniper and blue pine forests to Phajoding Monastery (3,870m), a revered pilgrimage site overlooking Thimphu Valley. Complete the trek with a final descent to the trailhead where a vehicle transfers you to your hotel in Thimphu.
