Foreigners:
All foreigners visiting Bhutan must obtain a visa clearance letter issued by the Department of Immigration of Bhutan prior to boarding a flight. They are required to produce a copy of the visa clearance letter at the time of check-in. At your point of entry, your visa will be stamped into your passport.
Important: The Initial Reference letter issued by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs is not valid for travel. Passengers without a valid visa clearance letter will be denied boarding.
Visas are processed through an online system by your licensed Bhutanese tour operator, directly or through a foreign travel agent.
Indian Nationals:
Indian nationals can obtain a visa at the port of entry on producing a valid passport with a minimum of 6 months validity, or a Voters Identity Card (VIC).
Bangladesh & Maldives Nationals:
Bangladeshis and Maldivian nationals can also obtain a visa at the port of entry on producing a valid passport with a minimum of 6 months validity.
Documents to Carry:
Passengers are required to ensure they are in possession of all documents necessary for travel. For international travel, this includes a valid passport, visa/entry permits, and health certificates as required.
*Note: All passengers are advised to check their passport validity (minimum 6 months from travel date). Bhutan Dewa Rabsel Adventure and associated airlines will not be liable for check-in refusal due to invalid documentation.
