Overview

The Druk Path Trek with Dewa Rabsel Adventure is a classic Himalayan traverse connecting the Paro and Thimphu valleys across a chain of scenic mountain ridges that separate these two historic regions. This moderate-grade trek is ideal for travelers seeking a balanced combination of wilderness immersion and cultural discovery. The route winds through sparsely populated highlands, alpine forests of rhododendron and juniper, yak herder settlements, and high-altitude crystal-clear lakes teeming with trout. In spring, the mountainsides burst into vibrant color with blooming rhododendrons, while autumn brings clear skies and sweeping Himalayan panoramas. The trek culminates with a descent into Thimphu after visiting sacred mountain passes, meditation retreats, and revered monasteries perched high above the valleys.
