You will stay at Bhutan’s most exclusive lodges, including Six Senses and Gangtey Goenpa Lodge, where refined hospitality and personalized service define each stay. Driving distances are realistic, altitude is gained gradually, and each day is carefully balanced with guided exploration and time to relax—whether enjoying your lodge, spa, or the surrounding landscapes. Detail Itinerary

Day 1 — Arrival in Paro (2,300m)

Arrive at Paro International Airport, where your guide will welcome you upon arrival. Transfer to Six Senses Paro. The remainder of the day is intentionally relaxed to allow for acclimatization. You may take a gentle walk around the lodge grounds or unwind at leisure. Dinner is served at the lodge.

Day 2 — Paro to Thimphu (60 km | 1 hour | 2,400m)

After breakfast, drive to Bhutan’s capital, Thimphu. Visit the Takin Preserve to see Bhutan’s national animal, followed by a short forest walk along the Takin Trail. Continue to the Arts & Crafts School, where students practice traditional Bhutanese arts including painting, wood carving, and metalwork. An optional archery session can be arranged in the afternoon.
Overnight: Six Senses Thimphu


Day 3 — Thimphu to Punakha (72.8 km | 2 hours | 3,100m at Dochula Pass)

Travel across the scenic Dochula Pass, offering panoramic Himalayan views on clear days. Descend into the lush Punakha Valley. Visit Chimi Lhakhang, known as the “Temple of Fertility,” followed by an exploration of Punakha Dzong, beautifully located at the confluence of two rivers.
Overnight: Six Senses Punakha


Day 4 — Punakha to Gangtey (78.2 km | 2 hrs 15 min | 3,000m)

Drive to the serene Phobjikha Valley, one of Bhutan’s most beautiful high-altitude landscapes. Visit the historic Gangtey Monastery and enjoy a walk along the Gangtey Nature Trail, passing through forests and open farmland. The valley’s peaceful atmosphere offers a sense of quiet isolation.
Overnight: Gangtey Goenpa Lodge


Day 5 — Gangtey Valley Exploration (2,900–3,200m)

Embark on a full-day pilgrimage hike to Boe Langdra, a sacred and remote site above the valley. The trail winds through forests and untouched terrain, offering a deeply immersive experience. Return to the lodge in the afternoon. Optional spa treatments are available in the evening.
Overnight: Gangtey Goenpa Lodge


Day 6 — Gangtey to Paro (165.9 km | 4 hrs 30 min | 2,300m)

Depart Gangtey and travel back toward Punakha. Walk across the suspension bridge before hiking to the hilltop Khamsum Yulley Namgyal Chorten (approx. 1.5 hours round trip), offering sweeping valley views. Continue the drive to Paro and enjoy a relaxed evening.

Day 7 — Tiger’s Nest Monastery Hike (3,120m)

Begin early for the hike to Bhutan’s most iconic landmark, Tiger’s Nest Monastery. The trail ascends steadily through pine forest, with rewarding views along the way. After exploring the monastery, descend and return to your hotel. In the evening, enjoy a farewell dinner.

Day 8 — Departure (2,300m)

After breakfast, transfer to Paro International Airport. Your guide and driver will assist with departure formalities.

Included/Excluded

The package includes luxury accommodation at Six Senses and Gangtey Goenpa Lodge, daily breakfast and dinner, a private luxury vehicle with a professional driver, a licensed English-speaking cultural guide, bottled drinking water during excursions, all government royalties and monument fees, as well as airport transfers and internal transportation.
The package does not include the Bhutan visa and Sustainable Development Fee (SDF), international airfare, travel insurance, alcoholic beverages, personal expenses, gratuities for guides and drivers, or any optional activities not specified in the itinerary.
